Welcome to the 2025 Information in Silicon & Neurons (ISN) Workshop. Over the course of two days (4th & 5th of November) we are delighted to host a distinguished lineup of national and international experts at the Lakeside Hotel and Conference Centre, located on Macquarie University's Wallumattagal Campus.

Our international guests will be pleased to know that springtime in Sydney brings warm, sunny days and cool nights. Daytime temperatures typically reach around 25°C (77°F), while evenings drop to a comfortable 17°C (63°F). Light to moderate breezes and brief periods of rainfall are common during this time of year.

Sydney’s extensive train and metro system is the most efficient way to get around the city. Simply tap on and off with your credit card. All venues for the two-day workshop are conveniently located within walking distance of Macquarie University metro station.

Whether you arrive at Sydney's International or Domestic Airport, you'll find a train station directly beneath each terminal. Simply board the train from platform 1 at either terminal to reach Central station. From Central, walk to platform 26 to catch the metro line heading towards Macquarie University.

Once you arrive at Macquarie University metro station, it’s only an 11-minute walk to the Lakeside Hotel & Conference Centre. As you exit the station, walk down Waterloo Road then turn right onto Research Park Drive then walk all the way down until you reach Executive Road (E-23 on the campus map). The workshop will be held upstairs in room 267 of Lakeside Conference Centre, 5 Management Drive.
